I recently discovered my passion for package design, having created a beverage package system with various materials, and utilizing traditional paint materials in the creation of packaging for several traditional babushka dolls. I was really pleased with the end products and enjoyed the process of creating these projects.I have experimented with many different packaging techniques over the years, below are videos of all my different packages that I went above and beyond designing.
Jars of Joy

There were many different product ideas but the idea about small jars, beads, and essential oils was chosen. The idea was that the beads in the jars could hold the essential oils in them and that the jars contain them and the sense, when the jars are open the sense are release. The sense of these essential oils are made to help peoples bodies and minds, some help you sleep, relax, help you when you're sick, get rid of head aches, take back pain away, or just make you feel happier. The theme of the concept is about body chakras, the various focal points in the subtle body used in a variety of ancient meditation practices. The name of this product is Jars of Joy. The box layout that is a Two-Tier Box, what at first seems like a simple box, delivers its layered impact upon unveiling. The top tray pulls away to reveal the contents of the bottom tray. The hinged construction delivers a dramatic display once opened. I also added my own design to the layout of the box, to keep the jars and oils from sliding around I created third part of the trays and dye-cut the products sizes and shapes to keep them in place.
Iris Tours

Iris Tours is a vacation agency that takes people on tours throughout different countries. They reside in Lacoste, France, and take people on tours mainly throughout Europe. However, they also offer tours of other countries. When a customer signs up for one of their tours, Iris Tours will send them a folder with a brochure and maps that reflect the schedules for the tours, that includes a package with a gift inside. The folder and package designs are different from the brochure and gift designs, as the folder is designed to look like a vintage suitcase with a modern pattern inside. The folder design also has a pocket in the front that holds the business card, making it look like a luggage tag. The vintage suitcase is also designed with “stickers” that have the same colors of the inside pattern of the folder and has flaps on the side that hold the folder closed, like suitcase buckles. The package is designed the same way with a thank you tag on the side. When the tag is pulled upward it opens the package revealing the gift inside. The folder and package designs are used for all brochures and gifts that are sent to the buyers.
Petal Paint

Petal Paint is a company that creates multiple different design kits and supplies. We believe that learning is a true privilege and that it takes time and patience to master your skills. When it comes to art, one should start out simple. Some people are born with talent for things like this, but some people need to grow their skills in order to be great, which is why the company is called Petal Paint.

The design of these supplies is a simple design concept. The floral illustration designs on the supplies match the different supplies in their appearances. Some packages for the supplies were simple boxes or tags, while others were more complex to create variety throughout the set. To make other packages interesting and the supplies inside more visible, windows were cut out, with transparent paper covering the opening. A few of the supplies have little guidebooks inside the packages, so that if the buyer decided to continue their exploration in painting, they would have additional information.

Nesting dolls are beautiful collectible toys that are decorated with magnificent art designs. These dolls have a unique history and are mostly known for being created in Russia. These Russian nesting dolls are also very significant because they are meant to represent families and the love they share. Music is another incredible art. Every country throughout the world has their own form of music, with different instruments, melodies, beats, and lyrics. Lullabies are one of the most important parts of cultures, because of the different ways they can be sung and the meaning behind them. They are an important part of different cultures and families because they reflect their love. Lullabies are what parents sing to their children at night when they go to sleep to calm them and show their love.

Their packages have the song information on the outside and the boxes contain sheets of music with each of the different lullabies. The box designs have imagery from the different cultures depicting the cities, instruments, or the cultures themselves, along with facts and information about the countries and cultures. On the inside they also have similar designs to depict the doll in its “cultural” surroundings.
