During the summer of 2016, I took a group trip with my high school art class and we went on a 10-day trip to Italy. We went to Venice, Florence, Assisi, Pompeii, Capri, and Rome. We toured the cities and learned of their history, art, cultures, and architecture. This was my first trip out of the country and I was so exited to photograph everything that I saw there. It was beautiful and so filled with life. Eventually, I used these photographs in my Iris Tours brochure/package project.

Venice, Italy
Venice, the floating city, crisscrossed with romantic bridges, laced with history and boasting some of the world’s finest art and architecture.

Florence, Italy
Florence, the birthplace of the Italian language and opera. The city is noted for its culture, Renaissance art and architecture and monuments.

Assisi, Italy
Assisi is a town and commune of Italy in the Province of Perugia in the Umbria region, on the western flank of Monte Subasio. It is generally regarded as the birthplace of the Latin poet Propertius. It is the birthplace of St. Francis, who founded the Franciscan religious order in the town in 1208, and St. Clare, the founder of the Poor Sisters.

Pompeii, Italy
Pompeii was an ancient Roman city near modern Naples in the Campania region of Italy, in the territory of the commune of Pompeii.

Capri, Italy
Capri is an island located in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the Sorrentine Peninsula, on the south side of the Gulf of Naples in the Campania region of Italy.

Rome, Italy
Rome is the capital city and a special commune of
Italy (named Comune di Roma Capitale). Rome also serves as the capital of the Lazio region. Vatican City, officially Vatican City State, is an independent city - state enclaved within Rome, Italy.
