Erika Lynn: Studio and Boutique is a small shop that sells handmade sandals, handbags, and accessories, along with Italian clothing. The owner and designer, Erika Lynn, graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Accessory Design. At SCAD she learned how to design and make footwear, handbags, and other leather accessories. Her passion for shoes lead her to start her own business. She has incorporated the Italian style of traditional custom sandals made on the streets of Southern Italy into “her style”, handmade in Charleston, SC. Italians are known for the quality and perfection of their product. Erika Lynn has brought this same quality and style of sandal making back to the United States.
In this internship, Erika Lynn hired me to help her build product advertisements, some branding, and developed her website. All the designs created in this internship were created to best show off her brand, from the use of her logo color to the repetition of patterns used in each of the deliverables. One of the patterns that is repeated throughout the works is her wall tile pattern that is in her store. Once the tile was edited, the pattern is used on almost each of the products, including business cards, punch cards, post cards, magazine advertisements, and website header.
